Pingly is a utility app that helps users open WhatsApp conversations without saving phone numbers in contacts. Pingly does not operate a custom backend that stores your phone numbers or message content.
When you use Pingly, the final message delivery happens through WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
2. Information we collect
Pingly does not ask you to create an account. The app may process information you type into the interface, such as a phone number and message, so it can prepare the WhatsApp link on your device.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
3. Information stored locally
To make the app useful, Pingly may store limited information on your device using local storage, including:
- Recent numbers you used in the app.
- Custom message templates.
- Selected language and theme preference.
- Onboarding completion status.
- Rewarded ad free-send counters and timestamps.
This information is intended to remain on your device. You can remove it by deleting items in the app where available, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.
4. Firebase services
Pingly uses Firebase services from Google for app operations and reliability:
- Firebase Analytics helps understand aggregate app usage, such as app opens, language changes, send actions, and reward interactions.
- Firebase Crashlytics helps diagnose crashes and technical failures.
- Firebase Remote Config helps control app configuration such as update prompts, ad frequency, and rewarded ad settings.
- Firebase Hosting serves this public website and legal pages.
Analytics and crash data may include device information, app version, operating system information, and approximate region depending on Google's processing.
5. Google AdMob and advertising
Pingly uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, and ad interaction information according to Google's policies.
You can manage personalized advertising through your device settings where supported.
6. Permissions
The Android app declares internet access and Google advertising ID support. The current documented app workflow does not require contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage, notification, or background location permissions.
7. Data retention
Local app data remains until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall Pingly. Firebase and AdMob data retention is handled by Google according to their applicable terms and settings.
8. Security
We use third-party services with established security practices. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid entering sensitive content that you do not intend to send through WhatsApp.
9. Children's privacy
Pingly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, or limit certain data. Because Pingly does not operate an account backend, most app data can be controlled directly on your device.
